Linda Heimsath

Executive Assistant/Human Resources

Meet Linda Heimsath, Executive Assistant/Human Resources

Being mother to five children while working full time and running a successful restaurant with her husband was probably the perfect preparation Linda Heimsath needed to take on the many jobs she does for FRA Financial Group. Officially, Linda’s title is Executive Assistant/Human Resources to FRA CEO Joe RoosEvans and President Dave Wolf, but her responsibilities extend far beyond.

Since she joined the company more than 12 years ago, Linda has been responsible for payroll and HR duties. She is the company event planner, organizing special events and making travel arrangements for the Home Office team. She manages vendor relations, and she is instrumental in the successful, day-to-day operation of the Financial Gourmet within the Home Office. She schedules Joe’s seminars, orders supplies and specialty items, but most importantly, she guides agents new to the Financial Gourmet through the initial process of setting up and running seminars.

When asked if she had a theme song that would play each time she entered a room, she said Natasha Beddingfield’s hit, “Pocketful of Sunshine.” This bright, up beat song seems very appropriate for a woman who is always willing to help out her co-workers and FRA agents when needed In fact, she says the thing she like best about her job is the people with whom she gets to work.

Linda has never been a stranger to hard work. At age 16, she landed her first paying job, helping out in the principal’s office at her High School in Highland, IL, the town where she was born and where she still lives today with her husband, Steve.

Prior to joining the company, Linda worked for General American Life Insurance, the Federal Probation Office and Shopper’s Review, an advertising newspaper where she created ads. For the past 12 years, Linda and Steve have operated their restaurant.

On her days off, Linda enjoys catching up with friends, relaxing and enjoying family that includes her five children, Kenny (34), Amber (31), Tony (29), Kyle (27) and Corey (22). A little more than a year ago, Linda and Steve welcomed their first grandchild, Alexander Jozef.

Just for fun – Who or what inspires you?

“My mom inspires me everyday. She’s such a strong and independent person. She still loves to work with my brothers in their construction business. Just because she’s 85, she doesn’t like to sit around. She wants to stay active and involved.”
